This is our course for our regular players, our seasoned improvisers – our spark rising stars! Over 12 weeks, we will on key improv skills, focus on crafting rich and entertaining stories, interesting characters & explore narratives structures and improv formats. The group of students will learn to play as an ensemble and develop a long-form show.
IS THIS COURSE FOR ME?
You are eligible to this course if you’ve finished an intermediate level (or equivalent – level 4 and above) course with SPARK or another school, and you have at least a year of improv under your belt. Ideally, you have some stage experience too.

Can I take the first lesson for free?
No! Once you sign up, you’re in for good. However, we organise taster classes every month. Check the Tasters page for all info.
I’m going to miss a few classes. Should I still sign up?
Yes. We made our classes longer than average to accomodate for busy schedules. However, if you miss more than 3 classes, we may ask you to repeat the level.
How do you run your classes?
We strive to hold welcoming, inclusive & intentional spaces. Our classes & events are run according to our code of conduct. We expect our students, participants and audience to respect this code and SPARK’s core values and act with kindness and genuine consideration towards one another.
I’ve done improv before. Is this for me?
If you’ve done a few classes here and there, or if you haven’t played in a while, we recommend you take thee Basics class.
Will I get a refund if I drop out?
If SPARK cancels a course for any reason, a full refund will be issued to students. If one class is cancelled, we will make sure to reschedule it. We will run this course with a minimum of 8 students. If the minimum number of participants isn’t reached, we will postpone or cancel the class and refund it entirely. In addition, SPARK is not responsible for any decision made by a student to drop out of a course. Students are responsible for their own learning and progress throughout the course.
Money is a bit tight. Can I pay in instalments?
We want to make improv accessible to all, so please get in touch for specific payment plans.
